The Langlade Health Care Emergency Services program is a state certified program offering services in Langlade County. The program offers a 24-hour crisis line and a 16-hour mobile crisis response team. It provides individualized services in the least restrictive manner, utilizing natural and peer supports whenever possible. The focus of the program is on prevention of crisis, de-escalating and offering community-based options. The program is equipped with resources to assess and divert many situations from an in-patient hospitalization. Crisis Line Specially trained staff provide confidential and anonymous telephone counseling, crisis intervention, and information and referral 24-hours a day, seven days a week. All services are TDD (hearing impaired) accessible.
Mobile Crisis Team Assessments and interventions by the mobile crisis team are available 16 hours a day, seven days a week, either on site at the Health Care Center in Antigo or in the community. All teams are made up of personnel trained in the area of crisis intervention. The different teams utilize physicians, nurses, law enforcement personnel, psychiatrists, mental health technicians, and other specially trained staff. The team offers an assessment and assists with the disposition of the crisis situation. Disposition may include, but is not limited to, inpatient psychiatric treatment, crisis bed placement, 23-hour observation bed admission, foster home placement, youth crisis bed, and other community placements. The team can also provide linkage and follow-up services with other community providers and agencies to assure continuity of care. All ages and legal status are served. Fees for Services As a certified program, the Emergency Services Department will bill Medicaid and other third party payers for the cost of professional mobile crisis assessments, follow-up case management, and crisis apartment services. North Central Health Care offers payment adjustments based on ability to pay. |
