The Community Support Program - East (CSP-E) is a State certified program that provides easily accessible, individualized treatment, rehabilitation, and support services in the community for persons with mental illness, in an effort to reduce the disabling effect of mental illness and promote recovery. The program works with consumers in their homes and in the community. The services provided include case management, psychiatric services, vocational services, psychosocial rehabilitation and activities of daily living skill training to manage independent living. Crisis intervention is offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the availability of a crisis bed within the community. Community Support Program West The Supported Apartment Program (CSP-W) is spread out over three apartment buildings, with a staff office located in one of them. The program is staffed 24 hours a day, and provides intensive services to adults with mental illness in an effort to help them maintain community placement. Services provided include onsite case management, symptom assessment, medication monitoring, and skill building in the areas of psychosocial rehabilitation, activities of daily living, social skills, and problem solving. The program also has a respite/crisis bed for Community Services consumers who require additional supervision and support, due to medical or psychiatric concerns. Clubhouse This comprehensive rehabilitation program provides vocational and case management services while offering its members a place to belong to. Clubhouse members choose how they utilize the program - by attending daily meetings and participating in work units within the clubhouse, gaining assistance with vocational skills, and job seeking. Clubhouse members can be assisted in returning to school and can receive tutoring. They can have budgeting assistance, help with meal planning, and help developing a social network. Financial benefits counseling is also offered. There are also opportunities to participate in coalitions with other clubhouses. The staff works with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, North Central Technical College and the Literacy Council to assist members in reaching their personal and vocational goals.
