A Winning Opportunity for Consumer and Employer
- The consumer wins because they are given a choice as to where they might want to seek out employment based on their skills and abilities.
- They also reap the rewards of inclusion through gainful employment in the community, improved self worth and self-esteem through work for real wages.
- Employers win because they will be tapping into another potential resource for good, dependable workers and employees.
- The workplace wins by the experience of having co-workers with a rich diversity of skills, experience and interest.
- Taxpayers win because the individual entering the job market becomes a wage earner who will contribute to Social Security and income taxes, reducing taxpayer support.
- The community benefits by gaining a better understanding and appreciation of persons with disabilities and a better awareness of disability issues.
