NCHC Crisis Center Wausau

24-7 Crisis & Suicide Prevention Hotline

If you think you or someone you know may be experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis, it is important to remember there is hope and help. We are here.

North Central Health Care offers 24/7/365 confidential crisis support. We’re here to help you through your roughest moments and assist you in determining next steps toward appropriate care while providing community resources and NCHC outpatient referrals.

The North Central Health Care state certified crisis team prioritizes responding in person to crisis situations, whether in our walk-in center or where you are in the community, while also offering support and assessments within our call center. We help de-escalate situations and offer community-based options that may help prevent an inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.

Our team is comprised of staff specially trained in emergency crisis services and partner with licensed clinicians, psychiatrists, nurses, and community partners. Our CART team consists of two Crisis Professionals working alongside law enforcement. We will help you through the immediate crisis and stand by you in the future to ensure you receive the care you need going forward.

The Crisis Team is available 24/7 by calling 1.800.799.0122
