Connecting People with Job Opportunities
Finding a job can be difficult, but North Central Health Care can help. We help adults and transitional adolescents who have mental health disorders, cognitive disabilities, learning and physical disabilities, access employment opportunities suited to their abilities and preferences.
We currently team with over 100 employers to provide creative employment opportunities that are mutually beneficial to the individual and the company. By doing so, we provide individuals with a variety of competitive jobs to choose from in integrated non-disabled settings. We make a continuous effort to meet with new employers, learn about their business and hiring needs so we can match their needs with the abilities and preferences of our clients.
Through our Supported Employment Program and Job Placement Program we:
- Assess the skills and abilities of each individual to determine their needs and goals.
- Assist individuals with job hunting, job leads, resumes and cover letters and employer contacts.
- Work closely with treatment teams and/or other supports to ensure each person can perform, problem-solve and self-advocate to the best of his/her abilities.
- Offer new employee orientation, training, one-on-one job coaching and long-term support as needed.
- Consult with employees regarding staffing needs.
- Provide ongoing consultation to employers, including worksite disability awareness training and workplace adaptation.
