NCHC Completes Final Renovations for Mount View Care Center - Now Accepting Admissions for Dementia Care and Hiring for Several Skilled Nursing Positions

North Central Health Care is thrilled to announce the completion of the last phase of building renovations for Mount View Care Center in Wausau. With these finalized efforts, Mount View Care Center is now able to serve 158 individuals, solidifying its commitment to providing exceptional skilled nursing care in Marathon County. Mount View Care Center is currently focused on accepting new admissions to the dementia care program, while recruitment efforts to hire nurses and certified nursing assistants continue.

"We are excited to accept new admissions for the dementia care program at Mount View Care Center. Our new care areas reflect our dedication to delivering top-notch healthcare to our community," said Kristin Woller, Mount View Care Center Administrator. "With more residents to care for, we simultaneously are increasing efforts to onboard new talent and train the next generation of skilled nurses and certified nursing assistants in Central Wisconsin. We offer a paid training program for those interested in beginning a career in healthcare, and we are also looking for qualified certified nursing assistants and registered nurses to join our team now."

Mount View Care Center Gathering Room

NCHC is currently hiring several positions at Mount View Care Center in Wausau including Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), as well as a unique CNA training opportunity. Interested candidates will receive the CNA training class paid for upfront by NCHC, which includes the cost of the class, books, prep class, and certification exam. Upon successful completion of the CNA class and passing the certification exam, candidates are offered a position as a CNA.

Mount View Care Center, rated a 5-star skilled nursing facility by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), is nestled on just over 17 acres with picturesque views of Lake Wausau and Rib Mountain, and has undergone extensive enhancements to offer state-of-the-art facilities and services. All rooms, except two double occupancy rooms, are now private. Resident rooms feature modern bathrooms and breathtaking views, ensuring comfort and tranquility for residents. Currently, Mount View Care Center has approximately 15 beds available in dementia care, along with 14 beds available in long-term care programming.
